Joe Partynski Teacher Intro from Finest City Improv on Vimeo. Joey teaches level 2 and 3 classes. He has experience studying both acting and improv. Acting and theater classes taught him to be vulnerable, ridiculous, and dramatic. Improv taught him to listen, focus, support, let go, and most importantly- have fun. His teaching combines both, as he loves to help people become bolder and more attentive players on stage. Joey performs every Saturday with Found Family. He is also half of the improvised emo duo–Sad Boys.
Julius Ravelo Teacher Intro from Finest City Improv on Vimeo. Julius currently teaches intermediate core classes with a focus on advanced scene work at Finest City Improv, and also coaches house team Killer Giraffe. He studied at The Second City Hollywood and iO West in Los Angeles, as well as Finest City Improv and Sidestage Improv in San Diego. Julius has been an FCI ensemble member since 2016 and currently performs on Saturdays with Found Family. He also performs with various indie teams, including Greg Hess’ Hair, Sinister M.O., and Slack to the Future.
Bridget has been performing and teaching improv theater and communication strategies to adults and children since 2005. She is a Master Teaching Artist with Arts for Learning, San Diego and a performer and teacher with Finest City Improv. She is the former Education Director for the Baltimore Improv Group as well as a former Teaching Artist for Young Audiences of Maryland. She was a Baltimore County Public Schools High School (MD) English and theater teacher for seven years. Gary started improv as a way to improve his public speaking, and it was love at first sight. He has studied at National Comedy Theatre, Sidestage Improv, and has taken a dozens of workshops and drop-ins with various instructors. Gary loves to infuse improv with positive psychology so that his students leave with a renewed sense of life. Gary leads play retreats and workshops through his company BreakthroughPlay. He is also a trainer in our corporate program and a Speechless trainer. Gary performs every Saturday with Mutiny! He can also be seen in our featured show A Single Lady.
Niki teaches Level 1 classes. She is a graduate of Finest City Improv, Sidestage Improv, and has trained with improvisers from all over the country, including improv hot spots like LA and Chicago. She draws on her improv, theater, and dance background to instruct her classes with energy, support, and playfulness. Niki performs every Saturday with Found Family . She studied at UC Santa Cruz, Finest City Improv, and Second City Chicago (musical improv). She is a key facilitator with our Applied Improv and Speechless program.
