8pm:  The Stage Monkeys and Yukta Panda

9pm (ish): The premiere of Finest City Improv’s “The World According to….”  with guest monologist Rhiannon Jones. She will tell stories from her life and Finest City’s team of improvisers will use these stories to inspire hilarious improv comedy.

10pm (ish):  George Caleodis is visiting us again from LA to tickle the ivories and give you the chance to be a musical improv star!  We had so much fun doing this at the December Improv Fest we have asked him back and giving him all the time he wants (as long as it isn’t more than an hour).

There is FREE onsite (attached and safe) parking at The Moniker Warehouse and there will be refreshments available.

We asked Rhiannon Jones the three questions you were all wondering:

What do you do for a living?

Work in progressive politics, local theatre, write, find places to stack my books and raise a tiny blond boy in a fairy tale.

Where are you from and how long have you been in San Diego?

I hail from Beaverton, Oregon. I moved to San Diego in 4th grade and have lived here since except for brief stints in Seattle, WA and Anchorage, AK. I currently split my time between San Diego and Arlington, VA.

What are you passionate about?

Theatre, exactly the right word, my kid, pie, the perfect hat, my job and the men and women of VDay in San Diego.

We didn’t ask George any questions but here’s a little info about him:

George Caleodis teaches musical improv at the Second City Training Center in Los Angeles.  If you’ve been to IO West, he’s that guy that is always playing the keyboard and making all the scenes so much better.   He is a main-stage alum of The (short-lived) Second City, Cleveland, where he also served as Conservatory instructor. He currently writes, directs, and performs with several Los Angeles troupes including ‘The Cartel’, iO West’s ‘Main Stage Sketch Show’ and ‘POP’ company.’ SCLA’s ‘Bingo’, ‘Edmund Serves Coffee’ and ‘The Family Funk’. In addition to teaching, coaching, and performing improv and sketch comedy, George has spent much of the last 15 years as a radio DJ and stand-up comic – opening for the likes of Kathleen Madigan, Frank Caliendo, and The Righteous Brothers.

More info about George is available on IMDB.
