Whitney is a salsa dancing, soccer playing, stretching in public spaces, mermaid geographer. When she’s not schmoozing and or stretching in the FCI lobby, you can catch her on stage in A Single Lady or with her indie team Sand Knuckles! Or as Cienega Chase, a former nun and personal assistant in Point of Passion- a 1970s improvised soap at Old Town Improv! Also, she’s a lactose intolerant pescatarian, yay for specificity!

David is a graduate of the FCI program and has been a regular performer in the Single Lady Show. He’s a painter and poet and loves painting in his outdoor studio in Encinitas. The truth is David can be seen doing a lot of things in his outdoor studio including, eating, sleeping and having full on conversations with his artwork. He believes in living a healthy lifestyle and enjoys daily meditation unless he has a lot to do that day. In this case he says, “screw it” to all things healthy and plows ahead hoping for that satisfaction of crossing off each item on his list. He loves hearing people’s life story and laughing with them and he loves the FCI family.

Jessica Farber sees life as a sequence of moments and creating weird moments on stage is one of her favorite categories of life .  Painting, writing, questioning life and connecting with people are among her other favorite things too.  Between all the moments of life she also enjoys being active and learning new things.  Life’s busy so usually she tries her best to slow down on and off of stage.

Born and raised in San Diego, Marc prefers the cold weather over the heat because you can always bundle up, but you can only get so naked. As founding member of one San Diego’s first long form Improv teams the Stage Monkeys, one of the original FCI’s teams Silent Majority & Minor Suspension members, along with a graduate of iO West, Marc has been performing since 2009. Marc enjoys traveling the world and sipping on Mai Tais and whiskey drinks, especially Irish mules. You can find Marc hanging out above the bar or playing with Single Lady on the first Saturday of every month.

Pranav Mutatkar is a recent FCI graduate that loves to play quirky characters onstage. He is the founder of Embrace your Lazy where he teaches people how to create the life they want by being lazy. At his day job, he works as a data/technology consultant creating products and crunching numbers. In his free time, you can find him writing in cafes, laughing at stupid jokes obnoxiously with his friends, or scouting locations to shoot his next short film. He’s super excited to play and learn with all the awesome FCI ensemble members.

Now Playing on Willis!

Originally from Pennsylvania – near Scranton (Yes, where “The Office” took place) – but now living in San Diego and enjoying the eternal summer. Making people laugh is his life’s greatest joy, which drew him to improv. Cory has an MFA in Creative Writing and loves to collaborate on stories and scripts. He can often be found playing one of the following things: Volleyball, hockey, video games, board games, and in a somewhat not-so-distant past life, drums. He currently works for GoFundMe, where he gets to see life changing moments happen almost every single day. Lastly, but certainly not least, he’s married to the most wonderful girl, Sarah Pugh, who also is likely putting together this very blog post and he just wanted her to see this. Don’t afraid to say hi!

Christina is a graduate of the FCI Training Program. She likes long walks on the beach, short walks on the beach, and brief hops onto and off of the sand on the beach. She is a Virgo, with brown eyes that want to gaze deeply into yours. No, really, because she is a clown and knows that this move unnerves you. Don’t look away, dig in and get to know Christina because chances are, she’s been watching you for a while, from a dark corner, noticing the things that make you squirm. But don’t worry, she’d never use any of that against you…

Now playing on Attack of the Rotten Tomatoes:

An FCI program graduate, Amber is a native San Diegan who can trace her Southern Californian heritage back at least 7 generations. She likes to call herself the Indie Queen (when she is alone looking in the mirror doing her affirmations) since she performs with a good 12 different indie improv teams in San Diego. Whether it’s clowning with Look At What We Found or the Clown duo Them or doing a Mono Scene with the ladies of Fast Eddie or musical improv with Beyond Broadway or as a guest in High Note or genre improv with Book Club at OTIC or whatever it is that Busy Signal actually does — Amber loves all forms of improv. Catch her when it’s that time of the month for Attack of the Rotten Tomatoes (or most nights indie teams play.) Also she is married, has two cats, and will stick needles in your body for money.

Taylor Elliott stumbled upon FCI after moving to San Diego from Kansas 2015. With a background in theater and communication, Taylor found a passion for improv after taking classes and then graduating from FCI’s six-level program. When she’s not onstage, she’s usually at the bar. She loves performing but loves the hilarious improv community even more. Catch her perform with Attack of the Rotten Tomatoes, Banana Foster Kids, or Ya Hussies.

Skyler’s impassioned love for improv and the community is displayed on stage and off. As a graduate of conservatory, the core program and having musical experience, you might think he would have had enough.. But no. He continues to invest in the art and more importantly, the community. The technical director for sketch group Law Law Land, stage manager for weekly shows, an ensemble member and member of Where’s Brenda are just naming a few. Fun fact, he has lived in every state on the west coast, including Alaska! And yes, he did live in an igloo. Skyler is a very down to earth person and always ready for good connected conversation so if you see him around, just say hey!

Now playing on Killer Giraffe:Copy of Love this moment with Amy (10)

Angellyne De Perio is an FCI improv and sketch program graduate. When she’s not on stage, she’s flexing her digital marketing muscles or consuming movies, tv, and other forms of storytelling. She has a soft-spot for scary stories and rom-coms. Not just a consumer, she also enjoys crafting and collaborating on other creative projects like short films and commercial videos. One time she got to produce a music video for rock band P.O.D. (It was v cool.) Give her a dance floor and she will use it. Tell her about a great happy hour and she’ll be there. Call her for a good time, but only if it’s after 10am and she’s not in the middle of a good book or series.
