Jason Ott

Jason is a graduate of Finest City Improv and a huge improv nerd. His class team Existential Crisis performs a version of the Harold (with an Armando twist) that they developed in Level 6 Class.

The Clubhouse has been an amazing place to learn and is just good plain fun!

Jason has been a performer most of his life and considers himself a jack of all trades, master of none. He has been an actor, model, dancer, guitarist and vocalist. Vocals have been predominant with acts such as The Human Jukebox (All Request Acoustic Show) and Dazed and Confused (SD Music Award winning Led Zeppelin Tribute Band).

in 2010, Jason hurt himself and had to retire from show business. In the next 4 years, he needed to heal physically (and mentally) and fell into a bit of a slump that lasted about 4 years. After 4 years, he played some music and sang along to it and had an epiphany that he had to get back out there.

He found an old flyer for Finest City Improv Classes that was buried under some papers and decided to sign up for an “Intro to Improv” class. He also booked a few music gigs. The music gigs did not go very well…but the Improv was literally the most fun he had ever had.

Improv at FCI has turned out to be super fun and challenging and has proved to be exactly what Jason needed to get his life back on track.

Lastly, it should be noted that the community at FCI is amazing. Supportive and inclusive, they have become great friends/family.
